On 18th August 2008 a partnership project was launched to promote telework – "Improving the leadership efficiency of private and public sector organisations and local governments with regard to flexible work arrangements". The project aims to increase the awareness of teleworking and to offer practical knowhow to those already practicing telework.

The project is carried out by Smart Work Association in partnership with the Estonian Employers' Confederation, NGO Arhipelaag, the Estonian Regional and Local Development Agency, Foundation "Vaata Maailma" and the Labour Market Board (Unemployment insurance fond).

The project case studied organisations that practice telework, and thereafter an instruction manual and a training programme was developed based on the case study results. The training programme was presented in Inspiration Days.

Another aim of the project was to study the creation potential of telework centres.

The project is funded by the European Social Fund.
